What do you need to do when the ball mill cluch has a noise?

  1. Misalignment Between Motor → Clutch → Pinion

Symptoms: Knocking, cyclic vibration, metallic clatter.

What to check:

Coupling alignment (horizontal, vertical, angular).

Condition of mounting bolts.

  1. Worn or Damaged Friction Plates (for Air or Dry Clutches)

Symptoms: Screeching, grinding, uneven engagement.

Check:

Thickness of friction pads.

Heat marks, glazing, cracking.

3.Low or Unstable Air Pressure (on Air Clutches)

Symptoms: “Chattering” engagement, pulsing noise.

Check:

Air pressure supply (usually 6–8 bar depending on design).

Leaking hoses or fittings.

Solenoid valve function.

  1. Loose Clutch Springs or Damaged Drive Pins

Symptoms: Rattling sound, especially at low RPM.

Check:

Spring tension.
