What type of your WATER COOLED BRAKES?

There are two types WCB, one is piston type, one is air tube type.

The main difference between a water-cooled brake (air tube type) and a water-cooled brake (cylinder/piston type) lies in their actuation mechanism. Both are pneumatic and use water for cooling, but they achieve braking force in very different ways.

The “cylinder type” (often called piston type) uses a traditional pneumatic cylinder and piston, while the “air tube type” uses an inflatable rubber tube (similar to an air bag) to apply pressure.

Rubflex has both types – feel free to email us if needed.
