Rubflex DBBS disc style brakes are spring-applied and air or hydraulically released. The DBBS style is offered in applications requiring higher speed operation or where precise balance of the rotating components is required. Their torque capacities and heat dissapation characteristics make them ideal of high speed, non-cyclic applications. Equal torque is developed in either direction of rotation.

Rubflex DBBS brakes are available in four basic sizes and can be supplied as single, dual, triple or
quadruple disc units. The model number identifies the number of discs and the disc diameter. For
example, 225DBBS indicates the brake uses two 25 inch diameter discs. When size, such as 25DBBS
is referred to in this manual, it means that the information given applies to all DBBS models using
25 inch diameter discs; i.e. 125DBBS, 225DBBS,
